Intrepid Wealth has acquired an accounting practice as part of its ongoing effort to provide clients with a more comprehensive range of financial services.
The search for a suitable firm began more than 12 months ago, with the objective of finding a practice that specialised in self-managed super funds (SMSFs) while also offering broad accounting and taxation expertise.
The acquired firm, Intrepid Wealth Accounting Services (formerly QuantumX), will continue to operate from Quirindi, New South Wales.
According to Intrepid Wealth, the acquisition has been made to deliver a more holistic experience for clients by bringing accounting, taxation and financial services together under one group.
Client Transfer Process
Intrepid Wealth has begun transferring SMSF, personal and business accounts to the new firm.
However, changes to Australian Taxation Office (ATO) client transfer rules introduced in November 2025 mean clients must first manually nominate QuantumX as their tax agent before a bulk transfer can take place to Intrepid Wealth Accounting Services.
Once all client nominations have been completed, Intrepid Wealth will undertake a bulk transfer with the ATO.

Note: You may already have your business/entities set up in RAM. If so, you can skip directly to Step Three.
Step One
Ensure you have the myID app installed on your phone and that your identity strength is set to Strong.

If you experience difficulty obtaining a Strong identity, contact the Australian Taxation Office on 1300 287 539 (select Option 2, then Option 1) and advise that you are trying to obtain a Strong identity.
Step Two
Log in to Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM) using your myID: https://authorisationmanager.gov.au/#/login
Then:
- Select Add a business.
- Click Link your business, then Continue.
- Enter your personal address details.
- Add the relevant entities. Your SMSF or corporate trustee should appear automatically.
Step Three
Log in to ATO Online Services for Business using your myID: Online services for business login page | Australian Taxation Office
Then:
- Select your SMSF and click Next.
- Navigate to Profile → Agent Details.
- Under Agent Nominations, select Add.
- Enter the QuantumX agent number: 69894006.
- Confirm the details match and submit the nomination.
Once completed, clients are asked to notify Intrepid Wealth so QuantumX can accept the nomination.
